TRIBUNE HISTORY
- I'm a 22-year-veteran of The Hartford Courant, starting in 1986 as an assistant state editor. I eventually worked as a deputy state editor, assistant magazine editor, and interactive editor at the Courant and Courant.com.

- The Hartford Courant Alumni Association and Refugee Camp was established in July 2008 when the first of two big news staff layoffs hit the newsroom, threatening to scatter the Courant's family of journalists. It is a way to keep in touch, find each other, keep up with the latest developments at the paper and in the industry, and sometimes to heap a little shame on the Tribune Co. for its failed stewardship of our company.
